Meeting called to order.  Guests welcomed and pledge conducted.  Dollar attendance drawn.  Moment of silence taken for member Porky who just passed away.

Treasury Report: Given by Al.

Legislative:  Alice states that nothing new is going on.  Lansing is all about balancing the budget right now.  She did participate in a safety event with Pam who is house rep Meltzer’s aide.  Alice passed out some awareness information and explained what and who we are at the event.

Guest Speaker: Alice has been friends quite awhile with our guest.  She has helped Alice to promote awareness on her radio show.  Welcome Anne Carlini from WRIF.  Anne and Joe Gardner have founded a group that is dedicated to getting bikers back on the road after being involved in an accident.  They have a website which tells a story about the person they’re helping and what they’re doing to help.  They have gotten a few big names in the industry to help out.  Currently they’re in need of new parts for the bike they are custom building for a woman who needs special touches on a bike in order to ride again.  The group and website both are bikerresurrection.com.  Anne asks that we check out the website as they are looking for ideas on how and bikers to help.  Sarge motions we donate $100.00 to biker resurrection.  Supported by Tammy.  Motion carried.

Upcoming Events: October 3rd is the Fall Color run hosted by Leatherworks for us.  In need of volunteers to work 4 stops.  Food at the end of the run.  See Tiny if able to help.  Push for a good turnout for this event, weather permitting.  Proceeds benefit our awareness billboards.  Bruce motions we take 10 of our awareness yard signs, pay for them out of our awareness fund and give them to Chuck at leatherworks to give out as he sees fit.  Supported by Alice.  Discussion on the motion.  Motion carried.  Fliers for event on the table, please pass out anywhere.

October 10th is our bikes in the park.  Adults and kids both welcome.  Motorcycle and bicycle show.  Free hotdog with every admission.  Admission is by donation.  Proceeds benefit our awareness billboards.  Fliers on the table, please pass them around everywhere.

In January is our state seminar.  This time no dinner will be served.  Instead, they will do a luncheon and leave dinner time for the region hospitality contest.  Lunch will cost $7.00 per person.  If there’s a group from our region going this year, you should get together and discuss the possibility of doing a themed type eat and greet in the contest.

New Business: Bring your can tabs in to the October and/or November meetings.  Tabman is very busy lately so we’ll make sure they get to him from there.

Nominations will be taken for all region officer positions in October.  To accept a nomination, your membership must be current.  If an election is needed, it will be done at the November meeting and in order to vote in an election, again, your membership must be current prior to the meeting.

Terry asks if we want to hold a December meeting in Mt Clemens or just go with the one in Dryden.  Tammy motions we cancel our Mt Clemens December meeting.  Supported by Sarge.  Motion carried.

Meeting adjourned by motion and support.
